JESUS LOVES MISFITS, THE LOST, AND THE BROKEN HEARTED
Maybe you’ve done or continue to do things in your life that make you feel ashamed, undeserving of love, beyond redemption, unworthy; a hopeless case. Maybe you feel like you were born "different" with no say over who or what you are. Maybe you are dealing with depression or anxiety. All of these things can make you feel like a misfit, whether it is in school, in your family, in the workplace or even in the Church. But take heart! Jesus Christ LOVES misfits! And wants YOU to follow him and become a citizen of God's Kingdom!
It doesn’t matter your circumstances. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute tormented by demons, Matthew was a tax collector who, in Jewish society was despicable. Jesus sought them out, saved them, and changed their lives forever.
In Luke 19:10 Jesus says:
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Isaiah 61:1 which also says:
…He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners."
Jesus’ love is unlimited::
Revelation 3:20.
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me."
You see, Jesus dined with sinners. He broke bread with them, and this infuriated the Pharisees! They were outraged. They asked his disciples "Why does your Master eat wit tax collectors and sinners?" Jesus replied:
Matthew 9:12-13
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick and goes on to say “ ... for I have not come to heal the righteous, but sinners."
Jesus offered and continues to offer his fellowship, acceptance and healing to us while we are still sinners. We don’t have to DO anything to be SAVED except believe in Him.
He wants you to “dine with him”. He knows all that you were and all that you are. He knows your struggles and flaws. He knows all that you CAN become in him. He will meet you where you are no matter what you have done and bring you out of the darkness and into the light.
It is important for you to know that you are not alone, not one of us can live up to the glory of God!
Romans 3:23 says:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and all are justified freely by his grace and through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ,"
“Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see”
Please knock at his door, he will answer. Let him lead you into the Kingdom of God and you will truly find the place where you belong.
Many blessings to you my friend. May God’s peace and joy be with you.
