WAITING ON GOD? HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO.

So many of us are truly outraged at what is going in America, right now. Our liberties are being eliminated with the stroke of a pen, ideologies that are against our fundamental beliefs are being shoved down our throats, and we are being marginalized, canceled and erased.

People are losing hope. Many have prayed and continue to pray to God to save this nation from itself. To divinely intercede and save us from darkness that is settling in and spreading throughout our streets and cities. Yet, many feel God is silent. Where is God?

Are you losing faith? Do you feel like you need to take matters into your own hands? Before you do, consider what God tells us:

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

We don’t know the fullness of his plans. We don’t know why he allows what he allows and for how long he allows it. We don’t know what he has put into place, what he is doing “behind the scenes” and why. But he does tell us this:

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

He asks us to trust Him even when we don’t understand:

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding

And

ISAIAH 55:8

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.

And he tells us to wait on him and to be strengthened by Him:

Isaiah 40:31

Yet those who wait for the Lord

Will gain new strength;

They will mount up with wings like eagles,

They will run and not get tired,

They will walk and not become weary.

The evil one is working overtime right now to make what is right seem wrong. He is a powerful force, the devil, but our God is ALL powerful - nothing and no-one is greater or more powerful than He!

WHAT CAN WE DO WHILE WE WAIT ON GOD?

First and every day we must:

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can fight against the devil’s evil tricks standing firm.

Think about this: Millions are feeling bewildered right now, lost and afraid. Depressed, isolated, turning to drugs, alcohol as a result of isolation from the pandemic, many are dealing with loss of work or a business, kids kept from their social activities. Many are waking up in disbelief as to what is happening in this country, and how quickly it is happening! They are in need of hope! While we are waiting on God to act or answer prayers, we must share His word, as we are always commanded to do.

Mark 16:15

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

So the take away is - Wait on God - work with God not against him by formulating your own plans.

Stand firm - Be prayerful, not rash! And while you wait on God to reveal His plan - gather those who are ready to know our LORD - spread God’s Word - joyfully! Remember He is patient and wants no one to perish - but everyone to come to repentance - His plan - his time.
